January 2024 TV Preview: Here Are 14 New And Returning Shows Worth Watching

From Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, and Gary Goetzman comes Masters of the Air, a series that follows airmen who risk their lives with the 100th Bomb Group during World War II. Over the course of the story, a brotherhood will be formed after simultaneously dealing with great loss and triumph as they helped to destroy the horror of Hitler's Third Reich.

The long-awaited fourth season of this hit anthology series is finally upon us. Set in Ennis, Alaska, terror strikes after the eight men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. It's up to Detectives Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis) to uncover the truth, no matter how dark it may be.

Echo will follow Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox), who first entered the MCU when she appeared in Hawkeye. After enduring (and partially causing) chaos in New York City, Maya is pursued by Wilson Fisk's (Vincent D'Onofrio) criminal empire and she must go back to her hometown where her unfortunate past catches up with her. Now, she must face her wrongdoings, reconnect with her Native American roots, and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward.

Griselda is a fictionalized limited series inspired by the life of the savvy and ambitious Griselda Blanco (Sofía Vergara), who created one of the most powerful drug cartels in history. The series takes place in 1970s–'80s Miami, as Blanco’s  charm and expert manipulation help her navigate between business and family, leading her to become widely known as “the Godmother." This series also marks Sofía Vergara's return to TV since starring on Modern Family, so take that as a hint that you should definitely tune in.

The second season of Ryan Murphy's critically acclaimed anthology Feud returns this month. This time around the story is centered around Truman Capote and his circle of high-society friends he nicknamed the "swans." Over the course of eight episodes, tensions will rise as Truman betrays his "swans" by publicly sharing thinly veiled secrets of their lives in his Esquire column "La Côte Basque 1965."

Set in 1993, this series will follow the origin story of our favorite foul-mouthed teddy bear (Seth MacFarlane). Ted's brief stint of fame is now over and he's back to living at home in Framingham, Massachusetts with the Bennet family and, of course, causing chaos. While Ted may not be the best influence on young John (Max Burkholder), he proves time and time again that he's as loyal as friends come.

To prove her innocence, she must partner with a man she despises, Rufus Cotesworth (Mandy Patinkin), the world's greatest detective.

This series follows Charlie (Erika Henningsen), the princess of Hell, as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons to peacefully reduce overpopulation in her kingdom. After a yearly extermination imposed by angels, she opens a hotel in the hopes that patrons will be “checking out” into Heaven. While most of Hell mocks her goal, her devoted girlfriend Vaggie (Stephanie Beatriz), and their first test subject, adult film star Angel Dust (Blake Roman), stick by her side. When a powerful entity known as the “Radio Demon” (Amir Talai) reaches out to assist Charlie in her endeavors, her crazy dream is given a chance to become reality.
